Chaz Cardigan

Chaz McKinney is a songwriter, composer, and producer. His background in alternative rock, pop, folk, and electronic music has yielded a deep catalogue of material released as Chaz Cardigan.

His singles “Not OK!” (#15 at Alternative Radio) and “Live A Little” have become film/TV staples, with placements in To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, ESPN and more.

Cardigan’s melody-forward writing is characterized by rich harmonic tension, and quirky arrangements.

His biggest undertaking so far is his original score for the alternative-rock musical The Brass Teapot (NAMT 2024). Based on a 2012 cult-classic film, the show is a timely and magical dark comedy.

He is currently scoring the upcoming podcast The Monkeypox Gospel, and developing multiple original musicals with Pulse Music Group & Paradigm Talent Agency.
